Jack the Chirping Frog

Here is a video of my froggie friend Jack chirping...or buzzing I guess (it sounds more like buzzing). He does this most nights and has for the past few weeks. I think he misses his girlfriend Gus Gus...poor lonely frog.

 

You have to listen close but he does it really quick at the beginning and then again at about 31 seconds. I've tried to film this several times but as soon as I get close and get the camera going he doesn't do it much. I guess I need to be more sneaky. 

It's kind of a weird sound and when I first heard it it took a while for me to realize Jack was doing it. Now he does it all the time and goes all night long and into the morning...good thing it's not very loud  :)

Just for fun here are a few pictures I took of Gus Gus a few nights before she died. She was floating at the top of the water and I thought the way her reflection looked was pretty cool.
